Nomacorc Names new General Manager for Europe

Thimister-Clermont, Belgium, (December 17, 2008) – Nomacorc, the world's leading producer of alternative wine closures, has announced the creation of a new regional general manager position responsible for both the commercial and operational elements of the company's growing European business. The general manager will be based at the Thimister-Clermont, Belgium, facility and will be a member of Nomacorc's global executive team that steers the strategic direction of the company’s worldwide business.

Richard Teply joins Nomacorc effective immediately in this new general manager role. Teply, who was most recently CEO of Temac in the Czech Republic, has an extensive international business career including wine industry experience with Richmond Hill Wines in Canada. His career also includes management roles with leading brands including American Standard, Philips Lighting, St. Gobain, and BPB Rigips. Teply completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary, Canada, an MBA at the American Graduate School of International Business in Arizona, and leadership studies at the London School of Business. Nomacorc's European management team will report to Teply, who will report directly to Lars von Kantzow, president and CEO.

Concurrently, Guido Quinting, site director for the Thimister-Clermont facility, will transition to a new role as business development director for Europe for the Noël Group, Nomacorc's parent company. Quinting has been with Nomacorc since 2001 and has been a key contributor in development of the European team and the company's considerable market share growth over the last several years. Francois Denis, sales director Europe, will continue in his current role and will report to Teply.

Lars von Kantzow also praised Guido Quinting and Francois Denis for their pioneering efforts in building Nomacorc Europe to what it is today. "Guido and Francois have done an outstanding job over the past several years to make Nomacorc the leader in alternative closures in Europe."
